A great short video from CNSC: Understanding Nuclear Power Plants http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74VSQ9_HbjA&feature=youtu.be
"The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission has recently created a video
showing the progression of an accident scenario involving a total
station blackout at a nuclear power plant. This video was designed
to help the public better understand the multiple layers of safety
systems at Canadian nuclear power plants. It highlights that even during
an extremely severe accident, nuclear reactors in this country will
safely shut down and contain radioactivity."

a grassroots, nonpartisan movement of ordinary Canadians
that emerged in response to the lack of commitment by federal government(s) to build a new research reactor in Canada for nearly 2 decades.
